Despite what the naysayers are saying about the flag option no being very inclusive, I'm of the complete opposite persuasion. IMHO having the opportunity to list one national flag or symbol should not only bee seen as an olive branch of respect but also a courtesy put fourth by the administration and moderation staff here on the Debian Users Forums. I have experienced shaming and misunderstanding by my own family whom are all either Windows or Mac OSX users and don't understand why I try to evangelize the principals of Free and open source software and GNU/Linux.
