The version 5.7.4-1 is in the Debian Unstable repository:The binary version 5.7.4-1 from Debian unstable repository cannot be installed in Debian Stable because of some missing dependency due to version upgrade and migration of other packages.
I downloaded the source code of 5.7.4-1 from upstream [1] and it builds on Debian Stable (after downloading required dependencies), but it requires some knowledge on how build programs and manually installing them.
