I've never attempted anything like what you have in mind, but maybe this will help. Are you aware Debian has two installers? The live ISOs use Calamares. If the latter accommodates what you have in mind, a live session gives you many more options for setting up networks and such.I don't know what to do next.
Perhaps I misunderstand the point, but every time I use the Standard Installer I end up with a line like this in /etc/apt/sources.list:That's a bit odd you are asked for dvd, as Debian installations have a long time disabled install media at end of the installation.
