Thank you, that worked quite well.. I guess that if there is an internet connection, calculator tries to connect and there does not seem to be a "timeout" rule to cancel the process.. For xtra info, I am also using a VPN (router has permanent VPN enabled), but can not disable it easily...As others have pointed out gnome-calculator will work when not connected to the internet, and the error messages debcat77 showed above suggest why. But you don't have to change your display manager. That seems like it would cause way more issues than I want to deal with. Instead just run this to disable looking for the currency (that is, until they fix this):Code:
