Honestly, I know i shouldn't be trusting ChatGPT, but this is just a hobby and it's a quick way to get things going. All things considered, i'm learning a lot, just not the easy way..!
Your questions definitely got me going down the right path. I was going to share more on the topic when I decided first to cut off the wg0 and tun0 devices I had set up with the installation of a VPN. Turns out that was the issue and I've regained internet access on my server. Unfortunately I still cannot make the VPN work but at least I'm not reinstalling Debian!
Thank you again for your help and patience. I'm enjoying this new hobby of system administration and would appreciate all indications to good books and resources to learn more. Hopefully I'll be able to ditch ChatGPT all together as a "tutor" and get things done myself.
