Agreed absolutely. No way would I disable Recommends, you lose some core functionality of KDE Plasma.If you disable recommends you really need to understand what packages you need. This is not easy for a modern desktop environment.
qml-module-org-kde-kitemmodels is a dependency of systemsettings which is a recommends of plasma-desktop which is a dependency of kde-plasma-desktop.
