Graphical Environments & Desktops • Printer shows twice in Settings

Hi,

there is strange behavior with my printer, which makes me confused. When printing from any application it shows me two printers, but they are the same.

The printer is a Brother MFC-J5340DW, connected via Lan cable (wlan is disabled) with a fixed IP Addr.

When i open the CUPS admin paneel (localhost:631) , there is one printer:

Brother_MFC-J5340DW_ / Brother MFC-J5340DW / Local Printer / Brother MFC-J5340DW, driverless, cups-filters 1.28.17

Lpstat -v says: Gerät für Brother_MFC-J5340DW_: ipp://Brother%20MFC-J5340DW._ipp._tcp.local/

But looking in „Settings → Printers“ there are two printers shown, one with the name of the Queue and one with the printer. And also in almost all Apps are both printers listed which is really annoying.

I am running Debian 12, Kernel 6.1.0.25-amd64, bash 5.2.15, Gnome 43.6

Another strange thing is that every print Job has a delay from 15sec to 1min. Printing from a Android Mobile starts without any delay.

So, please what’s wrong my printer configuration ?
