Hmmm. My Bookworm is upgraded from Bullseye. I also set it up on a fresh Trixie install which works fine too. Indeed puzzling. You need to investigate the "update-alternatives" error; does /usr/bin/firefox actually exist?It is a fresh install just made on Sunday. I did not have this issue on the other laptop with Debian bookworm through dist-upgrade.
Maybe it belongs to "pure" Bookworm install.
