Well live made no difference at all. Same thing, boots to black screen, If anything it might have started shutting itself off after some delay while sitting at the black.
I did grab some more information that might help. I grabbed the most recent xorg log. pastebin and I didn't get along well so here are some snippets that seem important to me.

Code:

[ 43.763] (II) Applying OutputClass "Radeon" to /dev/dri/card0[ 43.763] loading driver: radeon[ 43.763] (==) Matched radeon as autoconfigured driver 0[ 43.763] (==) Matched ati as autoconfigured driver 1[ 43.763] (==) Matched modesetting as autoconfigured driver 2[ 43.763] (==) Matched fbdev as autoconfigured driver 3[ 43.763] (==) Matched vesa as autoconfigured driver 4[ 43.763] (==) Assigned the driver to the xf86ConfigLayout[ 43.763] (II) LoadModule: "radeon"[ 43.763] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.so[ 43.839] (II) Module radeon: vendor="X.Org Foundation"[ 43.839] compiled for 1.21.1.3, module version = 19.1.0[ 43.839] Module class: X.Org Video Driver[ 43.839] ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 25.2[ 43.839] (II) LoadModule: "ati"[ 43.840] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/ati_drv.so
So in this section: RADEON: Driver for ATI/AMD Radeon chipsets: it does NOT seem to list 6470 0r 6400 series. Nor Southern Islands. Does reference Caios

Code:

[    43.994] (II) RADEON(0): Creating default Display subsection in Screen section"Default Screen Section" for depth/fbbpp 24/32[    43.994] (==) RADEON(0): Depth 24, (--) framebuffer bpp 32[    43.994] (II) RADEON(0): Pixel depth = 24 bits stored in 4 bytes (32 bpp pixmaps)[    43.994] (==) RADEON(0): Default visual is TrueColor[    43.994] (==) RADEON(0): RGB weight 888[    43.994] (II) RADEON(0): Using 8 bits per RGB (8 bit DAC)[    43.994] (--) RADEON(0): Chipset: "CAICOS" (ChipID = 0x6760)[    47.148] (II) RADEON(0): glamor X acceleration enabled on AMD CAICOS (DRM 2.50.0 / 6.1.0-17-amd64, LLVM 15.0.6)[    47.148] (II) RADEON(0): glamor detected, initialising EGL layer.[    47.262] (II) RADEON(0): Modeline "1366x768"x60.0   69.30  1366 1414 1446 1480  768 770 775 780 -hsync -vsync (46.8 kHz eP)[    47.375] (II) RADEON(0): [DRI2] Setup complete[    47.376] (II) RADEON(0): [DRI2]   DRI driver: r600[    47.376] (II) RADEON(0): [DRI2]   VDPAU driver: r600[    47.376] (II) RADEON(0): Front buffer size: 4128K[    47.376] (II) RADEON(0): VRAM usage limit set to 225234K
And then a big timestamp jump and this - which I see things "removed" but nothing I can see that is actually a crash

Code:

[ 406.666] (II) event3 - Power Button: device removed[ 406.680] (II) event4 - Video Bus: device removed[ 406.712] (II) event1 - Sleep Button: device removed[ 406.728] (II) event6 - Logitech M510: device removed[ 406.760] (II) event16 - HP HD Webcam [Fixed]: HP HD Web: device removed[ 406.793] (II) event0 - AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: device removed[ 406.808] (II) event5 - SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad: device removed[ 406.840] (II) event9 - HP WMI hotkeys: device removed[ 406.856] (II) AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch
Excelsior!
