Also there seems no convenient way (e.g., it is not part of GNOME settings) to configure systemd-timesyncd except manually editing the "/etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf" file (again, we are running GNOME). Thus, I was wondering (pure surmise) if there is a valid reason to discourage the use of time sync? (GNOME Settings allows you to automatically set time and date and timezone but you must configure systemd-timesyncd first.)The "severity" of the bug report has been set to "wishlist". The original filer has been contacted for more information, but has not replied. You may wish to add a follow-up report with your observations.
