Mostly for more recent software. Most of it (Flathub, Freedesktop Plattform, Mesa, Intel, ffmpeg-full, openh264, Freedesktop SDK, GNOME Applications Platform 45/46, Adwaita dark GTK theme, KDE Applications Plattform and all the QGnome/Adwaita... stuff) is installed automatically.
