Code:

root@canneberge:~# apt-get install qtbase5-dev[...]The following packages have unmet dependencies: libx11-dev : Depends: libx11-6 (= 2:1.8.4-2+deb12u2) but 2:1.8.7-1 is to be installedE: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Why do they write "2:1.8.7-1 is to be installed" when it is already installed?
Because the package required is equal to the 2:1.8.4-2+deb12u2 version for the dependency and the 2:1.8.7-1 does not meet that requirement it is a newer version of it. The packages have been updated without the libx11-dev having its dependency line updated to reflect the newer package(s) in the archive, a packaging error on the maintainers part or a sources.list problem with the place it gets the package from, the mirror itself being out of date. Oh can you edit the title of the Thread to [SOLVED] at the beginning.
