Most of your privacy will be lost once you use any payment methods though, like banking, cards, paypal, vemo, crypto, etc. Because then there is a link to your identity to your browser and to your machine.

The threat model needs to be considered. If one simply wants to prevent the sites visited from receiving the actual IP, then it doesn't really matter whether the VPN proxy is paid and has paper trail associated.

That really only comes into relevance if said third party (and thus the VPN provider, eventually) gets subpoena'd to surrender visitor data ... and I doubt (and hope) that OP is doing no such activity that would ever elicit such an action.

VPNs are a privacy assisting technology, but not an anonymity assisting technology.
