in terminal using 'dd'
Ten. It took ten posts before dd even mentioned.

I'm trying to remember what I even used before learning dd. Come to think of it, what was my first Linux bootable written with back when I was still on Windows? I don't even remember. Probably Rufus?

GUI way - those who have gnome-disk-utility installed can use the "Restore Disk Image..." dropdown option. Although the name having Restore makes it sound like a recovery utility, probably confusing some.
